Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Tech to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role will support automated equipment, robotic palletizers, packaging lines, conveyors, pumps, and facility systems while leading preventive maintenance and troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.

This position is ideal for a technically skilled professional who enjoys working on the floor, solving problems, and improving equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on manufacturing equipment including conveyors, pumps, fillers, automated equipment, and robotic palletizers

  • Develop, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance (PM) programs in SAP to improve equipment reliability and extend asset life

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving motors, gearboxes, VFDs, sensors, electrical panels, and PLC-controlled systems

  • Assist with PLC troubleshooting, sensor calibration, basic programming edits, and HMI functionality

  • Lead small equipment installations, wiring projects, and upgrades for automated systems and conveyors

  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and communicate equipment status with production leadership

  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, PM activities, and parts usage

  • Track and manage critical spare parts inventory and maintain an organized maintenance workspace

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and safety audits

  • Recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability, safety, energy efficiency, and automation performance

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Technical Certificate or Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or Mechanical Technology preferred

Technical Skills

  • Motors, gearboxes, bearings, seals, and pump systems

  • Mechanical alignment, lubrication, and assembly

  • Conveyors, automated equipment, and material-handling systems

  • Troubleshooting starters, relays, sensors, and limit switches

  • Basic PLC troubleshooting and automation diagnostics
