Facilities Maintenance Technician

Responsible for facility maintenance, modifications and repair of chillers, electrical, plumbing, steam systems and mechanical systems.
Maintain a working understanding of equipment, systems, and facilities in order to perform maintenance effectively, under general direction
Interact with, monitor and assist outside contractors and vendors in conjunction with their projects
Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment.
Recommend and implement methods to increase the reliability of systems
Exhibits safety awareness and safe work practices
Performs other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business or as requested by supervisor or management
Facilities Maintenance Technician Qualifications
Associates Degree in an electrical or mechanical discipline preferred, or appropriate trade certification and at least 2 years of experience in maintenance and/or machine repair
Must be able to work days, weekends and holidays as scheduled
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to coordinate a number of diverse responsibilities
