Maintenance Technician

Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49504
Pay Rate: $28.00–$30.00/hour
Available Shifts:

• 1st Shift | 6:30 AM–2:30 PM

• 3rd Shift | 10:30 PM–6:30 AM

Training: All employees must train on 1st Shift for approximately 2–3 weeks
Duration: 1-Year Contract

Overview

The Maintenance Technician supports manufacturing operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and plant equipment. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose equipment failures using technical drawings, manuals, schematics, and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing and plant equipment.

• Diagnose equipment failures and replace defective components.

• Perform basic mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting.

• Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, schematics, specifications, prints, and equipment manuals.

• Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic tools, and electronic testing equipment.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.

• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and service records.

• Assist with modifications or improvements to existing manufacturing equipment.

• Troubleshoot optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems as applicable.

• Estimate labor or equipment requirements and prepare requisitions when needed.

• Follow established safety, maintenance, and manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant industrial, manufacturing, equipment maintenance, or technician experience.

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.

• Ability to diagnose and repair manufacturing or plant equipment.

• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals.

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

• Vocational or technical education or certification may be required depending on experience.

• Must be available to train on 1st Shift for approximately 2–3 weeks.
