    Description

    HiFyve is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry in Granite City, IL!


    Salary: $31.04 – $39.81/hour, depending on experience + company-paid benefits for employee and family

    Shift: Union environment – set schedule, but must be open to starting on any shift

    Location: Granite City, IL


    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on facility and production equipment to reduce downtime and support operational efficiency
    • Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of industrial systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, 3-phase motors, and variable speed drives
    • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
    • Identify and resolve issues using electrical test equipment and PLC troubleshooting techniques
    • Modify, install, and fabricate systems and components based on production needs
    • Rebuild or replace worn or defective mechanical and electrical components
    • Communicate clearly across shifts and with maintenance leadership to ensure continuity of work
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and housekeeping
    • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment


    Education Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting
    • Strong industrial electrical knowledge, including experience with heavy wiring and 3-phase systems
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, motors, drives, and mechanical systems
    • Comfortable working with forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists
    • Ability to read schematics and technical documentation accurately
    • Skilled in using test equipment for diagnostics and repair
    • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
    • Computer literate, with familiarity in Windows-based systems
    • Eagerness to learn new technologies and processes
