The role involves working around material handling equipment, conveyor systems, motor controls, PLC-controlled machinery, and industrial three-phase power systems in an active warehouse and sort environment. Typical hours are structured around facility sort operations, with morning and evening sorts running approximately 2:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Preventative maintenance is scheduled between sort windows, while repair and replacement work is performed as needed. Access to the buildings is generally available between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and the schedule typically consists of four 10-hour days or as close to that structure as possible. Technicians begin paid time when they pick up the company truck in Greensburg and receive paid travel time to other sites from that point.
