A Day in The Life of a Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and a repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facilities mechanical and electrical systems.
- Perform maintenance on facility equipment, including high voltage test equipment and systems
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventory by checking stock to determine appropriate inventory levels
- Prepare mechanical maintenance reports
- Record and process findings of maintenance duties on maintenance log
- Identify root cause of problems by observing mechanical devices in operations

Education & Experience
- High school degree or equivalent required
- 5 years of service and maintenance of electric machinery required
- 2 years of facility repair and maintenance experience required
- 2 years of handling high voltage test equipment required; 5 years preferred
Skills & Requirements
- Proficient in mechanical calibration
- Ability to read and work from blueprints and sketches
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
