    Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, Laboratory Setting, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift, Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Various outside weather conditions, Warehouse, Will work with hazardous/toxic materials, Working at heights

    DESCRIPTION:
    Join our team as a Senior Skilled Trades Professional and make a meaningful impact in supporting critical manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing sophisticated facility systems and equipment in a GMP environment. You'll troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on critical systems including HVAC, water purification, compressed gases, and specialized manufacturing equipment. This position offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise while contributing to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You'll work collaboratively with engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and regulatory compliance, while having opportunities to mentor colleagues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    Location/Division Specific Information

    St. Louis, MO / Drug Substance Division - The Drug Substance Division is one of the five divisions that make up the Pharma Services Group. We specialize in both small and large molecule development and commercial drug substance services. This allows us to serve the needs of Small/Emerging, Mid-Sized, and Large Pharma sectors globally.

    Work Schedule: 2nd Shift Maintenance Technicians works Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm

    Job Title: Senior Skilled Tradesman

    Reports to: Facilities Supervisor

    Group / Division: Facilities / Engineering

    Position Location: St Louis, MO

    Key Responsibilities:

    Associates will operate, maintain & fix all production equipment associated within the department to prevent and maintain HVAC, mechanical & electrical breakdowns, following safety & quality standards. Assist others in electrical repair in a manufacturing plant. Preferred candidate experience with industrial, mechanical, electrical, computer systems. Knowledge of & capable of performing technical repairs (HVAC systems, electrical repair, machining, welding tasks, high pressure gases).

    Knowledge of electrical installation & construction, AC/DC motor drives, gearboxes, hydraulics & pneumatics systems. Knowledge of or be willing and able to train in Maintenance Systems (SAP), lubricants & lubricating systems, & new technologies in predictive maintenance. Support continuous improvement programs through active participation in plant efficiency programs. Comply and actively participate in all safety and environmental policies, procedures, and programs. Perform all tasks as assigned by supervisor.

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED Required

    • 2+ years of maintenance and/or HVAC related experience.

    • Must have a confirmed understanding of HVAC installation and construction, AC/DC motor drives, gearboxes, hydraulics & pneumatics systems, chillers, and cooling towers.

    • Able to move up to 50 lbs.

    • Perform area housekeeping duties.

    • Background in industrial systems

    • Work scheduled shift, weekends and holidays as required.

    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.

    Other Job Requirements:

    • Adhere to OHS policies and procedures and ensure a safe and balanced workplace environment.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be aware of potential exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; and high noise areas.
