Hire Sync is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a leading manufacturer serving the construction and industrial markets in Tampa, FL. Pay starts at $25.00/hour and can go higher for candidates with the right combination of industrial maintenance, mechanical, and electrical experience.
This is a hands-on maintenance role supporting a busy manufacturing operation. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve the mechanical and electrical systems that keep production running. We’re looking for someone who can think through problems, work independently, and respond effectively when equipment goes down.
What You’ll Do
Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain industrial production equipment
Work with pumps, piping, valves, agitators, chillers, compressors, and related systems
Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmission issues
Troubleshoot electrical components including wiring, motor starters, contactors, relays, sensors, and instrumentation
Diagnose equipment problems through inspections, testing, and systematic troubleshooting
Complete preventive, predictive, calibration, corrective, and reactive maintenance
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
Use hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, precision measuring tools, and electronic testing equipment
Read and interpret P&IDs and other technical drawings
Assist with equipment installations, commissioning, modifications, and process improvements
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, installations, and equipment changes
Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Work with other maintenance team members to maximize equipment uptime
Coordinate with contractors completing scheduled work when needed
Follow Process Safety Management and established plant safety procedures
Support additional maintenance and plant projects as needed
What We’re Looking For
Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
High school diploma or GED required
Tradesman-level training or equivalent hands-on maintenance experience
Associate degree in a STEM or technical field is preferred
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience
Knowledge of pumps, piping systems, valves, motors, sensors, relays, and related equipment
Ability to read and understand P&IDs
Familiarity with electrical and mechanical testing equipment
CMMS experience preferred
Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques
Experience with continuous improvement and root cause analysis is a plus
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs in a fast-paced production environment
Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the maintenance and production teams
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Ability to work overtime and weekends when production needs require
Physical & Work Environment
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, dusty, and industrial environments
Ability to work around hazardous and non-hazardous materials
Comfortable working around chemicals commonly found in manufacturing environments
Ability to wear required PPE, which may include respirators, FR clothing, chemical-resistant gloves, hard hats, safety eyewear, and face shields
