Job Summary: Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical) | Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield | Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance) | Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems | Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures Impact of the Role:

Essential Functions:

• Assist with preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems.
• Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness.
• Assists with performing equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
• Supports with troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems.
• Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system.
• Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintains quality standards
• • Required Qualifications:
    • Required education and experience: Attending a Vocational / Technical School or internal training program OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience or Skillset; No prior experience needed
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Preferred education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree
    • Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
    • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to work as part of a team. Problem-solving skills. Technical expertise. Automation. Calibration. Equipment maintenance. Failure analysis. Manufacturing support. Mechanical troubleshooting. Numerical control. Production support. Refurbishment. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Equipment repairs. Mechanical maintenance.     Physical Requirements:
    • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
    • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
    • May need to stand for long periods of time.
    • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
    • May be requested to work a different shift.
    • This position is Safety-Sensitive.
