As a Maintenance Technician II, you will play a vital role in preserving safe, welcoming environments where this mission comes to life every day.


What You’ll Do

You’ll bring your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to a wide range of maintenance responsibilities across our campus, community residences, and vacation homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform skilled repairs in plumbing, electrical, and general building systems

  • Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and complete work orders efficiently

  • Inspect, test, and coordinate maintenance for fire alarms and elevators

  • Prepare and complete painting projects across a variety of surfaces

  • Diagnose and repair faulty electrical circuits and equipment

  • Ensure all spaces are clean, safe, and free of hazards

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors

  • Respond to on-call needs, including weekends and holidays

  • Follow all safety procedures and proactively identify risks

  • Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment

  • Communicate professionally with staff, residents, families, and visitors


What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or trade school certification in maintenance-related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in building and equipment repair

  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

  • Solid computer and communication skills

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Willingness to be on-call as needed

  • Personal integrity and alignment with a mission-driven organization

Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare, campus, or religious environments

  • Ability to lead, train, and support others

  • Appreciation for the traditions and values of the Sisters of Mercy and the Catholic Church
