Work Schedule:
- 1st Shift: Mondays-Fridays; 5:00AM-1:30PM
Duties & Responsibilities:
Tasks related to this position may vary and are not limited to those listed below:
• Follow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all times
• Direct supervision of maintenance staff including recruiting, selecting, training and developing associates through coaching and disciplinary actions
• Direct the maintenance team on day-to-day maintenance tasks, including PM’s, break downs, parts inventory, etc.
• Communicate and coach production staff on best practices related to machine use and safety
• Learn and increase knowledge of all machines and their function
• Engage in related support functions that impact machine ability to run orders
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance of equipment, including inspecting, calibrating, safety checks, repair/replace broken or warn components
• Repair equipment, including identifying replacement parts, to purchase or fabricate or adjust as necessary
• Purchase parts and components, within designated spending authority, ensuring quality and cost savings as appropriate
• Dismantle and reassemble machinery such as motors, conveyer lines, flexo folder gluers, presses, banders, bundlers and printing machinery
• Fabricate structural changes to the work areas or machines to ensure safety, minimize potential injuries and increase efficiencies, including guarding, building platforms or racking
• Upgrade, modify or adjust all machines and/or existing guarding to increase safety
• Follow all safety rules, including lockout/tagout, regulations, machine guidelines and guarding while maintaining a strict PM schedule for all machines and equipment
• Other duties as assigned
Skill Set:
• Electrical: Proficiency in working with electrical circuits and systems, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical issues, knowledge of wiring, controls, and automation systems.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Equipment Maintenance: Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of equipment and machinery
Qualifications Desired:
• 2 years of leadership experience
• Certified forklift operator
• Proficient in welding
• Electrical License preferred: Applicant willing to enroll in BCI provided ELC classes
• Previous electrical maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing setting
• Technical school preferred
• Computer experience/operation and PLC troubleshooting and knowledge
• Ability to maintain various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform other duties as assigned.
