Maintenance Technician

gpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the Jackson, MS area. Our client is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep plant equipment and facilities running safely and reliably.

Position Responsibilities:

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on shop equipment

- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

- Follow safety, lockout/tagout, and quality procedures

- Support production by minimizing equipment downtime

- Maintain facility systems and work areas

Position Essential Job Functions:

- Diagnose and repair cranes, saws, drills, welders, and CNC equipment

- Read electrical schematics and equipment manuals

- Complete work orders and maintenance records

- Order and stock replacement parts

- Coordinate with production on repair scheduling

Position Skills:

- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience

- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems

- PLC and controls experience preferred

- Ability to work safely with hand and power tools

- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
