Availability: Sunday - Thursday 3p - 11p

The Commons in Lincoln is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team! As part of Benchmark Senior Living, our beautiful 35-acre campus has been recognized by The Boston Globe as one of the Top Places to Work for more than a decade.

In this role, youll help keep our community safe, comfortable, and looking its best for our residents, families, and staff. From routine maintenance and preventive care to minor and major repairs, youll play an important part in maintaining our buildings, equipment, and grounds. Youll work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to identify maintenance needs, complete work orders, and ensure our community continues to provide an exceptional living experience.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving problems, takes initiative, and understands that great maintenance goes beyond repairs-its about creating a welcoming environment for our residents every day. We are looking for someone who is committed to providing outstanding service while consistently following Benchmarks maintenance policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Works effectively within the work-order system.
• Performs general maintenance work (light electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, HVAC etc.)
• Proper use of tools, equipment and chemicals (hand tools such as drills, saws)
• Deliver packages
• Trash removal for common areas
• Aid in maintaining common areas and grounds
• Respond to resident service requests and concerns in a timely manner
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with our residents, coworkers, vendors and visitors

Requirements

• Familiar with emergency procedures if chemicals are misused.
• Demonstrates the interest and ability to learn new skills and techniques as needed.
• Demonstrates proper usage of chemicals and equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Willingness and capability to respond to site emergencies.
• Ability to learn software application(s) - work order system
• Experience with all phases of building maintenance, a plus
