St. Paul’s Catholic Church, RiversideMaintenance TechnicianReports to: Pastor Hours: 40 hours per week FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt Pay: Commensurate with experience POSITION SUMMARY The Maintenance Technician manages the day-to-day maintenance, safety, and upkeep of St. Paul’s Church and parish-managed buildings and grounds. The position performs routine repairs, coordinates specialized service and preventive maintenance, responds to urgent facility issues, and keeps the Director of Facilities informed of conditions and completed work. The technician also coordinates and monitors approved capital improvement projects across the parish campus, working with contractors, parish, and school personnel as needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of leadership, vendors, employees, and the general public. Must have average computer skills, including aptitude with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
