Maintenance Technician

Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician with a passion for mechanical operations? APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Strasburg, VA looking to add a Maintenance Technician to their new operation. Their primary responsibility will be ensuring proper equipment performance, safety compliance, and operational reliability. Responsibilities:- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to support production continuity
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment, systems, and facilities to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance
• Assist with minimizing equipment downtime through timely repairs and maintenance support
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
• Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of plant equipment
• Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment
• Collaborate with team members and plant operations to address maintenance needs
• Assist with coordinating repairs and working with vendors or contractors as needed
• Identify basic opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and performance
• Ensure proper safeguarding of equipment to prevent injury or damage
• Comply with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and labor laws at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:- High school diploma or technical certification in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred

• 1–3 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, or recycling environments
• Basic hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
• General understanding of maintenance procedures and repair techniques
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Physically capable and available to work weekends, public holidays, and evenings as needed
