Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician I performs entry-level work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, rights-of-way, facilities, and related infrastructure. Responsibilities include street patching, sidewalk repair, sign installation, snow and ice removal, storm cleanup, and general maintenance. This role involves heavy manual labor, safe use of tools and light equipment, and supporting senior technicians in routine and emergency operations to ensure safety and functionality of the City's infrastructure.

Travel: Standard Local Travel: This position requires occasional local travel within the County. Employees may be expected to walk or drive short distances to attend meetings, trainings, or perform work at other city buildings or partner sites.
Work Environment:
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors across various facilities, including office buildings, warehouses, outdoor areas, rooftops, and confined spaces.
Work may involve proximity to sensitive or secure areas, including access control points, server rooms, and alarmed facilities.
Outdoor work may involve exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow.
The position may require working on or near equipment that generates moderate to loud noise, vibrations, dust, or fumes.
