JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of a higher official, performs preventive maintenance, repair, installation, replacement, and general servicing of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) control systems. Responsible for maintenance, commissioning, repair, and replacement of equipment and devices on Direct Digital Control (DDC) automation systems and pneumatic control systems. Conducts troubleshooting, calibration, and coordination with outside vendor to resolve temperature complaints and equipment-related issues. Performs related work as required and directed by HVAC shop foreman.
Supervision Received: HVAC Foreman and Director of Facilities
Supervision Exercised: May provide functional and technical guidance to co-workers, other union members and outside vendors and coordinate work activities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed by the State of Connecticut to perform heating, piping and cooling work as an Unlimited Contractor (S-1) or Unlimited Journeyman (S-2).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
At time of appointment, EPA Certification as a Universal Refrigerant Technician and a valid driver's license.
