Job Summary

Perform semi-skilled and skilled tasks of a general nature in maintenance, repair, and construction work in the basic maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, audio-visual, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, locksmith, carpet and tile installation, and metalsmithing; assists in or performs a variety of functions in the construction, installation and maintenance of roofs, furniture, fences, playground equipment, cabinets, shelving, chalkboards, bulletin boards and a variety of other structures; installs repairs and maintains gas and water lines; installs and repairs doors and window glass; perform electrical installations in new construction projects; clock and alarm systems; repairs and maintains heating, ventilation and cooling equipment; replaces and repairs carpeting and floor tile; installs, repairs, and maintains door locks and closures; prepares surfaces, mixes paints, and finishes a variety of equipment, furniture, and physical structures; welds metal parts together using gas and electric welding processes; fabricates metal and sheet metal structural items; may operate equipment, such as a light truck, tractors, and other related motorized equipment; may perform audiovisual services as requested.

Requirements / Qualifications

Under the general supervision of the Director of Maintenance and Operations, independently performs a variety of unskilled and semiskilled maintenance, repair, and construction tasks in the various building trades, including the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and related equipment. Experience with HVAC controls, thermostats, ventilation systems, and other mechanical equipment is desirable. Performs other related duties as required. Anticipated testing for this position will be the week of November 2nd.

This position works Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

• Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two to three letters dated within the last 12 months)
• Proof of HS Graduation
• Resume
