Maintenance Worker - NJ

Repairs physical structures of facilities cleans facilities and maintains grounds.Essential DutiesTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Keep facilities in clean and orderly condition

Organize custodial closets and work spaces

Maintain working condition of all company assigned equipment including vehicle

Maintenance exterior of building to including but not limited to grass cutting weeding cleanups trimming mulching and planting gutter cleaning power washing and painting

Must be able to operate and have knowledge of all mowers and equipment

Maintaining internal areas of facilities including but not limited to vacuuming dusting window washing sweeping mopping painting sheet rock and spackle

Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for pickup

Facility repairs as assigned by Supervisor or through work order program or verbally

Assists with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies

QualificationsThe employee must successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training and essential duties to include the following but not limited to

• Initial Preventing Abuse and Neglect with on-site competency assessment and annually thereafter.

The employee shall be 18 years of age or older and possess a driver&rsquos license valid in the State of New Jersey probational licenses are not accepted.

The employee must submit to a criminal background check and be determined to be not disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to working with individuals.

The employee must agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.

All employees shall complete an application to have their name checked against the Child Abuse Registry Information CARI

All employees must demonstrate successful completion of a Pre-employment physical and drug screen Pre-employment tuberculosis test as required by The State of New Jersey Department of Human Services.

Clearance based on a 3-year and annual motor vehicle abstract assessment.
