As a Mammography Technologist, you will perform routine and specialized breast imaging procedures under the guidance of the Radiology Administrator. You will play a vital role in the early detection and diagnostic process, ensuring every patient receives the highest "standard of care" in a supportive, outpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnostic Excellence: Perform high-quality routine and special mammographic procedures utilizing advanced radiologic techniques.
Radiologist Collaboration: Assist Radiologists with specialized procedures and ensure imaging meets all clinical diagnostic requirements.
Safety & Protection: Apply rigorous radiation protection principles and participate in "Image Gently" and "Image Wisely" dose pledge initiatives.
Patient Engagement: Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging processes, and adhere to facility-wide customer service programs to ensure a positive experience.
Technical Oversight: Responsible for the preparation, operation, and meticulous care of imaging equipment.
Quality Assurance: Participate in departmental QA/QC activities to maintain compliance with MQSA and ACR standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma/GED and graduate of an accredited allied health radiography school or hospital-based program.
Licensure: Current NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required.
Certification:ARRT Registered (RT).
Basic Life Support: Current BLS (AHA) required (or must be completed within 90 days of hire).
Clinical Training: Must meet MQSA requirements, including 40 hours of mammography training (anatomy, physiology, QA/QC) and 25 supervised exams (completed during orientation).
Continuing Education: Must maintain 24 ECE credits per two-year period and 15 Category 1 CEUs in Mammography every 36 months.
Specialty Credential: Passing advanced Mammography examination/certification is preferred (or must be obtained within 1 year of hire).
Experience: Previous experience in a high-volume outpatient imaging setting.
Professional Longevity: A demonstrated history of professional stability and commitment to permanent clinical roles.

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation: $48.91 – $73.36/hr (Based onexperience).
