As a result, they are looking to hire a newly created Management Accountant position to support the continued expansion of the finance function. This is a highly visible opportunity reporting directly into senior leadership, where the successful candidate will have broad exposure across accounting, financial reporting, credit & collections, and purchase-to-pay activities. The role offers a hybrid working environment with flexibility and strong long-term growth potential. The role is based in Rhode Island (North Kingstown), and they are looking for someone with prior experience with the month-end close.Job DescriptionThe successful Management Accountant will:Manage monthly accounting processes and support month-end close activitiesPrepare monthly management accounts packs including commentary and financial analysisProduce balance sheet reconciliations, validations, and reportingSupport budgeting, forecasting, and re-forecasting processesTrack financial performance against budgets and analyze variancesEnsure compliance with statutory accounting, tax, and regulatory obligationsAssist with production of statutory accounts and board reporting materialsProvide ad hoc financial analysis to support business decision-makingSupport implementation and maintenance of internal financial controlsReview and oversee Accounts Receivable and collections activitiesMonitor aged receivables and support collection efforts to optimize cash flowAssist with customer payment disputes and escalationsSupport Purchase-to-Pay processes including supplier invoice reviews and reconciliationsEnsure supplier data and documentation are maintained accuratelyPartner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and finance leadershipContribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives across finance operationsSupport audit requests and ensure accounting accuracy across the businessMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
