Based in the charming town of Georgetown, DE, you'll find a supportive community and a fulfilling work environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach services, spending 80% of your time in the field and 20% in the office.
• Provide immediate support and guidance to individuals entering recovery and mental health treatment.
• Engage with individuals about seeking treatment or other services.
• Build rapport with those who are unhoused and with substance use and/or mental health disorders.
• Offer direct and indirect peer support services and emotional support to clients and/or families.
• Assist with client transportation and referrals to treatment.
• Provide on-the-spot assistance with Narcan and/or CPR as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license.
• Direct personal experience living with mental illness and/or addiction and recovery, with a willingness to self-disclose this lived experience for educational and supportive purposes.
• Peer Certification or willingness to obtain within the first six months of hire.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel.

Preferences

• Experience in outreach or community support roles.
• Familiarity with Sussex County and surrounding areas.
