Management Information Systems (MIS) Intern

At Weisser Distributing, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at the systems that keep a busy distribution and e-commerce business running. We're looking for a motivated MIS Intern to join our Operations and Systems team. You'll gain hands-on experience with business software, data analysis, warehouse technology, and process improvements while working on real projects that support our daily operations. What You'll Be Doing Business Systems: Work with NetSuite and other systems used to manage inventory, orders, and warehouse operations. Data & Reporting: Help organize and validate data, create reports, and develop dashboards that support business decisions. System Improvements: Assist with troubleshooting, testing updates, and improving how our systems work together. E-Commerce & Order Processing: Learn how online orders move between marketplaces, business systems, and warehouse fulfillment. Process Improvement: Work with operations teams to identify inefficiencies and find ways to simplify everyday tasks. Projects & Documentation: Assist with system integrations, automation projects, and documenting business processes. Team Support: Help employees with system-related questions and technical issues as needed. What We're Looking For Currently pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field. Interest in business technology, data management, and operations. Comfortable using Excel and working with spreadsheets. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively. Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative. Ability to work onsite in Sioux Falls, SD. Bonus Points If You Have: Experience with Excel formulas, pivot tables, or data analysis. Exposure to SQL, Power BI, or other reporting tools. Familiarity with NetSuite or other business management systems. Interest in inventory management, supply chain operations, or automation. Don't check every box? That's okay! Work Environment This is an onsite internship that combines office-based projects with opportunities to learn directly from our warehouse and operations teams. You may spend time on the warehouse floor to better understand how our systems support day-to-day processes.
