    Description

    Title:

    Manager, Accounting

    KBR ISA (Integrated Solutions Americas) delivers integrated, end-to-end engineering, procurement, and construction management services to the refining, LNG, midstream, chemicals, petrochemicals, oil and gas, power, and industrial infrastructure sectors. Our focus spans proprietary technology, consulting, and energy transition to complete delivery of major capital projects and programs.

    KBR is seeking Manager, Accounting to support the company's Technology and Americas business, a global business centered around proprietary, protected process technology we own and market that enables our clients to deliver cleaner, greener and sustainable products of the future.

    We are looking for a collaborative, curious, self-motivated finance professional who is seeking a rewarding professional experience working in a high performing, fast-paced team. Our finance team is built around a strategy that prioritizes business partnership to support the company in advancing its strategic objectives. We seek to modernize and streamline our processes to deliver timely, accurate, reliable, actionable intelligence to key decision-makers. This role will report to the Director, Accounting.

    Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Maintain oversight for a wide variety of detailed financial and administrative activities for multiple projects of varying complexity

    • Maintain integrity of general ledger and all other accounting systems

    • Assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes Including accruals, revenue recognition and quarterly revenue disclosures (ASC606)

    • Analyze and review monthly financial results

    • Maintain accurate and timely reporting

    • Ensure the highest levels of internal control; manages activities related to internal and external audits, including SOX compliance

    • Be a business partner with non-accounting colleagues

    • AR reviews, cash monitoring and forecasting, etc

    • Project review including attending project status review meetings

    • Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles

    • Read and interpret contract documents as they relate to billing and revenue recognition

    • Communicate and coordinate with accounting staff in other offices worldwide. Assist with intercompany matters and reconciliations.

    • Assist with LER team to rationalize entities within the group

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 9+ years of progressive experience

    • CPA or CPA-ready

    • Percentage-of-completion accounting experience

    • Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and support services skills

    • Work schedule: At least 60% in person

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

    • Big Four public accounting experience is preferred

    • Experience with SAP, Oracle EPM and Workiva preferred
