This includes the day-to-day quality, completeness, and accuracy of our corporate and consolidated books and records to public company standards. The Corporate Accounting Manager will play a key role in month-end close processes, internal/external audits, and financial reporting including internal reporting/analysis for Management. The position will manage the corporate accounting team and will serve as primary liaison to operations accounting, subsidiary/segment accounting, finance, and other functions within BKV, as necessary.This role sets objectives and goals and manages a team to achieve organizational results. Ensures team members and stakeholders understand and follow policies, practices and procedures. Problems faced may be difficult but generally are not complex. Demonstrates integrity, accountability and transparency; upholds BKV standards, values and culture.RESPONSIBILITIESTypical job responsibilities of the Manager Corporate Accounting include:Collaborate within the department to create a best-in-class corporate accounting function.Lead the establishment and continuous improvement of monthly and quarterly close and consolidation processes.Prepare and review certain journal entries as part of the monthly and quarterly close. Oversight over the following O&G and standard processes: cash, intercompany, leases, contingencies, debt, depletion, derivatives, other fixed assets, G&A, prepaids, joint-venture including non-controlling interests, oil and gas assets, and consolidation.Analyze monthly and quarterly results for completeness and accuracy, perform and review both variance analysis and account reconciliations.Take ownership of corporate accounting risk control matrix and compliance with existing internal controls.Report monthly financial results to BKV management and key stakeholders.Serve as corporate accounting liaison for other BKV functions.Manage the corporate accounting team, as well as third-party contractors, consultants, and vendors.Perform other duties as required.REQUIRED SKILLSAdvanced knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards, IFRS knowledge a plus.Proficient in using Microsoft Office, accounting software, spreadsheets, and other financial tools and technologies.
