Overview This position serves in a middle management role to lead and direct a team of 12 Credentialed Trainers that operate the IT end user training program for Epic. They manage staff that develop, maintain, and deliver training content for the IT training program. The role is hybrid in Columbus, OH.Responsibilities Operate applications as assigned by planning and executing routine maintenance of software and hardware; optimize applications through upgrades, patches, customizations, and management reporting. Adheres to internal policies for configuration, change, security, service continuity, incident, and problem management.Provide 24/7 on‑call support for assigned applications.Organize people, processes, and technology to achieve results aligned with the I.S. Balanced Scorecard, covering application availability, ONCALL compliance, incident turnaround times, customer satisfaction, SLAs, operating level agreements, employee retention, development, and financial performance.Facilitate development of new applications based on lifecycle standards: define requirements from business needs, translate into design and operational model, and provide support staff for building, testing, and deployment. Follow standardized project management and testing best practices.Facilitate deployment of applications with best practices in education, activation, and production support.Directly manage all human‑resource aspects of personnel within the area: selection of new employees, training, evaluation, counseling, scheduling, and motivation to improve productivity.Plan, monitor, and control annual operating and capital budgets for assigned applications; manage material and resource needs.Administer safeguards for information assets: access management, staff education, breach response, business continuity, disaster recovery, auditing, and risk management for the applications.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (required) in Computer Information Systems, Healthcare, Nursing, related fields or equivalent experience.2–5 years of relevant healthcare experience.2+ years of management experience, including design, development, and implementation of departmental training programs.Experience with Epic end user training program operations and administration.Knowledge of hospital processes and workflow.Advanced knowledge of information systems through courses or experience.Strong leadership, budgeting, and interpersonal communication skills.Desired Attributes Master's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Healthcare (e.g., MBA with healthcare track).Knowledge of hospital operations and clinical information systems, including revenue cycle or ancillary systems.Knowledge of project management and process improvement methodologies.Managerial experience in various departments within a healthcare facility.Work Information Shift: DayWeekly Hours: 40Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)Department: CareConnect TrainingEqual Employment Opportunity Statement OhioHealth is an equal opportunity employer and fully supports and maintains compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations.
