This role is accountable for equipment uptime and reliability, maintenance team leadership, and cross-functional partnership with Production, Quality, and Engineering to meet production deliverables. The Maintenance Manager is a working supervisor, capable of troubleshooting automation, robotics, PLCs, human-machine interfaces, and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and supervise the maintenance team, including scheduling, performance management, training, and timecard approval.
    • Develop and implement a preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance program to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
    • Serve as administrator of the CMMS system, ensuring accurate work order tracking, PM scheduling, and maintenance records.
    • Partner with Production, Quality, EHS, and Engineering to resolve equipment issues, minimize downtime, and support production schedules.
    • Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, including labor, parts, and capital equipment spend.
    • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for equipment failures and recurring maintenance issues.
    • Develop and track maintenance KPIs (e.g., uptime, MTTR, MTBF, PM compliance) to drive continuous improvement.
    • Implement and sustain Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices across the facility.
    • Manage spare parts inventory and vendor/contractor relationships for outsourced repairs and specialized services.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements; lead safety inspections and audits.
    • Support new equipment installation, process changes, and continuous improvement projects alongside manufacturing engineering.
    • Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repair as needed, including automation, robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment across all maintenance areas.
    • Model and enforce professional conduct and policy compliance within the team.
    • Travel to and coordinate maintenance activities across multiple sites as needed.
    • Adjust working hours to align with production needs, including occasional second/third shift, weekend, or holiday coverage.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required.
    • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience required.
    • CMMS experience required.
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.
    • Experience with automation, robotics, PLCs, and human-machine interfaces preferred.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., TPM, Kaizen, Six Sigma, FMEA, root cause analysis) preferred.
    • Certification such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional), CPE (Certified Plant Engineer), or CMM (Certified Maintenance Manager) a plus.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
    • Ability to travel between sites as needed.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional second/third shift, weekends, or holidays, to support production needs.
