    Description

    The Office of Institutional Advancement at High Point University seeks a strategic, creative, and detail-oriented professional serving as Manager of Digital Operations. This full-time, in office role is responsible for executing high-impact digital communications that strengthen donor engagement, support fundraising efforts, and elevate the University's mission across key audiences.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Marketing, or a related field required.

    Experience and Training

    • 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in digital communications, ideally within a higher education or nonprofit advancement environment.
    • Proven expertise in website content management, including experience with CMS platforms, website optimization, and improving user experiences (preferably Blackbaud NetCommunity, Wordpress, or similar).

    Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

    • Strong understanding of fundraising communications and donor engagement strategies.
    • Proven experience managing and designing multimedia content for digital platforms, including websites, email campaigns, and social media.
    • Expertise in email marketing platforms, social media management tools (Cloud Campaign or similar), and content creation software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
    • Strong analytical skills and experience using analytics tools to measure website performance and campaign effectiveness.
    • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail and brand voice.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strategic thinker with strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Leads the execution of email marketing efforts as the primary communication channel, including annual giving solicitations, donor appeals, event invitations, stewardship messages, and internal IA requests.
    • Manages incoming project requests from the Institutional Advancement team, ensuring timely, strategic, and accurate delivery of communications.
    • Builds and optimizes event registration pages and online giving pages to support fundraising and engagement goals.
    • Plans, brainstorms, and executes social media content in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including scheduling and performance tracking.
    • Supports the Alumni Engagement team through the development and distribution of monthly newsletters and targeted communications.
    • Creates stewardship-focused content, including filming and editing personalized donor birthday videos and other engagement touchpoints.
    • Maintains and updates the Institutional Advancement website, including content edits, page creation, and ongoing optimizations to improve user experience.
    • Collaborates across teams to align messaging, branding, and campaign strategy across email, web, and social platforms.
    • Assists in building and maintaining a content calendar to support consistent and strategic communication across all channels.
    • Monitors performance metrics across email and web platforms, using insights to refine and improve future campaigns.

    ACCOUNTABILITY:

    • Reports to the Director of Development Operations.
    • Provides regular analytics reports on digital campaign performance (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) and website user engagement metrics.
