Manager of Restricted Accounts

Kforce has a client in Washington, DC that is seeking a Manager of Restricted Accounts that oversees the accounting and reporting of restricted funds, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial controls. This role plays a key part in managing complex accounting matters, supporting financial reporting, and partnering with stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting, monitoring, and reporting of restricted funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Manage the monthly close process and support ongoing reporting requirements
• Apply technical accounting guidance for contributions and restricted transactions
• Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger activity
• Monitor spending to ensure alignment with applicable restrictions
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address questions and resolve issues
• Investigate discrepancies and drive process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate with auditors and support audit and reporting activities
• Operate independently, exercising sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
