Our Ideal Candidate for this role:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Minimum 4 years of proven actuarial and/or underwriting analysis
• 5+ years of people management/leadership skills
• Experience working with a TPA preferred
• Sound business acumen - understands short and long term impact on metrics including revenue, margin, risk, etc. as well as the industry or market key trends, operations, functions, business drivers and strategic decisions; Understands the competition

What You’ll Do:

This leadership position will be responsible for overseeing the company and client actuarial and underwriting functions. Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Submitting accurate pricing for Master Health Plans (MHP) and actuarial data
• Establishing adequate loss reserves (IBNR, catastrophic and deficiency)
• Monitoring clients who have been classified as high claimants and create high cost resolutions
• Assisting in the modeling of future projections in areas of claims and growth
• Determining adequate and sufficient rate development for new clients and renewals
• Providing expertise in developing actuarial models and generating reports to determine the company's future projections
• Acting as a liaison between all MHP vendors
• Overseeing all areas of the benefits quoting process
