Manager, Patient Financial Services

Position Summary The Manager, Patient Financial Services is responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership of Patient Financial Services, including Patient Billing, Centralized Scheduling, Insurance Eligibility and Benefits Verification, Prior Authorizations, Financial Clearance, Patient Estimates, and other assigned revenue cycle functions. The Manager ensures efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service while partnering with the Director of Patient Financial Services to optimize revenue cycle performance, reduce denials, improve cash collections, and enhance the patient financial experience. The Manager provides leadership, coaching, and oversight of departmental staff while collaborating closely with Revenue Integrity, Patient Access, Clinical Departments, Information Systems, Finance, and external vendors. Qualifications Two years of Supervisory level experience Associates Degree preferred CHAM/CPAM preferred Previous hospital management experience in Patient Access functions (Scheduling, Insurance Eligibility Benefits Verification, Prior Authorizations, etc.) Competent skill level in PC technology including MS Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and Industry Standard Software preferred Excellent customer service/ guest relations skills; strong analytical, financial, organizational, project management and leadership skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred Knowledge in CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology preferred Additional information To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
