A WEEK IN THE LIFE:
A week in the life of the Manager, Regional & Programs Operations at Teach For America Rhode Island is grounded in ensuring operational efficiency and excellence. Your week may start with a check-in with the Managing Director, Strategy & Integration, to discuss progress on project plans associated with the corps member program as well as executing on next steps; i.e. sourcing a location for in-person professional development, ordering supplies and catering, and sending an update message to the team. You might book space for the Regional Team Meeting, share agenda items with the Managing Director, Strategy & Integration and align on meeting outcomes. Midweek you might be drafting and sending a Logistics Memo for an upcoming professional development night to corps members and alumni, and ordering dinner for a regional advisory board meeting, printing slides, and preparing board meeting materials. You may also be creating a social media post to advertise a local event and engage the TFA RI community. The week may also include paying a deposit on event space and meeting with local vendors to discuss the floor plan for the event, as well as ordering and packing supplies for the event, including signs, decor, and name tags.
