Sustainability Manager

Role Overview

Richemont has a long-standing commitment to doing business responsibly. Our approach to sustainability is rooted in our values and purpose: ‘We Craft the Future’.  Building upon Richemont’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) achievements, the Group has developed a risk-based approach to manage its business responsibly and has continued to embed its Sustainability Management System within the business. The Sustainability Manager will support the regional Sustainability team with the execution of the strategy through actionable solutions at Regional level (Maisons and Functions), while ensuring compliance, and employee knowledge sharing & outreach.  The role will report to the Head of Sustainability in the Americas Region covering U.S., Canada, Brazil, and Mexico, to enhance the organization’s resilience, reputation and long-term value creation.

Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Management of End-of-Life (EOL)/Circularity Solutions

• Manages the development, implementation, and oversight of end-of-life management across Richemont's Maisons in the region.
• Lead cross-functional projects to identify and implement circular waste solutions to identify areas for improvement, resource efficiency, and implementation.
• Develop internal stakeholder engagement and external vendor training materials in line with Group standards and Non-Financial Reporting principles.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to circularity and EOL management in alignment with Group framework and regional management.

Strategy Development & ESG Reporting

• Develop and execute ESG data response plan ecosystem from various internal departments (e.g., Operations, HR, Supply Chain, Finance) and external sources for all regional markets (US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil).
• Prepare and contribute to regional market sustainability reports, ensuring alignment with recognized standards and frameworks such as GRI, SASB, IFRS, TCFD, sustainability taxonomy regulation, and others.
• Assist with the implementation of strategies and programs in all markets, working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders (Maisons and Functions) to facilitate appropriate impact risk assessments (ESG, product, materiality), gap analysis, audit response plans, supply-chain mapping, and to ensure implementation requirements are executed according to expectations.
• Partner with Maisons and key stakeholders to adhere to certification system audits (e.g., SMETA, Responsible Jewelry Council).

Awareness, Outreach & Sustainability Intelligence Creation

• Ensure consistent ESG learning practices by developing training curricula with central Sustainability team for diverse audiences (novice to experts) and support Maisons in team development on sustainability.
• Monitor emerging regional reporting trends and standards and communicate and educate others on relevant topics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, ideally with a focus on environment/sustainability/business strategy and operations.
• Significant 5+ years’ experience in corporate ESG/Sustainability strategy, standards and regulations, non-financial reporting, with a strong focus on circular economy principles.
• Experience working in a matrix organization.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and driving cross-functional collaboration.
• Understanding of product lifecycle assessment (LCA) and EOL processes.
• Comprehensive and current knowledge of sustainability practices, trends, and applicable laws and regulations; with ability to influence and engage with key stakeholders are all levels of the organization.
• Comprehension of Environmental, Social and Governance regulations, investor and legal obligations, key corporate sustainability practices and programs, including: Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Science Based Targets (SBTi), and other emerging trends and concepts.
• Project management skills to drive operational performance and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting and disclosure requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage with a variety of senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of SAP solutions and sustainability reporting platforms.

Expected Salary Range: $110,000-130,000

Salary will be determined based on relevant skills and experience.
