Manager – Tax Preparer
Location: Stockton, CA (Hybrid or On-site)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager with deep expertise in trusts, estates, and complex partnership taxation. This role is ideal for a highly technical tax preparer ready to take a leadership position within a collaborative and high-performing public accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and review complex tax returns for trusts, estates, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals
· Provide tax planning and consulting services for a diverse client base
· Lead client engagements from start to finish, including managing deliverables and communications
· Mentor and review work of junior staff and senior accountants
· Stay current on federal and state tax laws relevant to fiduciary and partnership taxation
· Work closely with partners and clients on tax strategies and compliance matters
· Help manage workload during peak tax seasons with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
Qualifications
· 10+ years of public accounting experience, with a focus on tax preparation and review
· Strong technical knowledge in trust/estate taxation and complex partnerships
· CPA license or EA designation highly preferred
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
· Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
