Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor"s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience in program management.
7 years of experience in leadership role(s) with/without direct reports.
Experience in building AI features or AI Platforms.
Preferred qualifications:
10 years of experience in product, engineering, operations, or technical.
10 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
Experience leading strategic planning frameworks for complex program portfolios, including direct influence over resourcing decisions and planning stakeholders.
Experience in cloud computing emerging technologies or a related technical field.
Capability to manage a team across multiple locations (e.g., SVL and BLR).
About the job
Google"s projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You"re equally at home explaining your team"s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.
In this role you will play a pivotal role in shaping the AI user experience, working across a range of components in the stack, including Frontend, Serving, Integrations, and more. Your primary focus will be managing a team of T/PgMs in the Workspace Intelligence and Workspace Search teams to build an AI agent driven ecosystems to empower internal 1P and 2Ps to implement faster and higher quality AI results, partnering closely with teams across WS Engineering, PM, and UX to drive improvements across all Workspace apps.
You"ll collaborate with teams across Google, including DeepMind and Gemini. If you have a strong technical background and thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments, this is your chance to make a significant impact on the future of AI.

From pre-computed summaries for email threads, summaries for meetings, and videos created from a document using lifelike AI avatars, our AI opportunity is huge. Our mission is to meaningfully connect people so they can create, build, and grow together and as part of the team you can build how productivity tools should work 5-10 years into the future. You will work with model builders (Google DeepMind), work with exceptional leaders, and have the ability to impact billions of users across the world.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $240,000-$334,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Establish a reliable and visible cadence for portfolio reviews, decision making, prioritization, and resource management, whereby improvements are measurable and the impact can be felt organization wide. e.g., effective (re)deployment of machine and people resources leading to efficiency and utilization gains.
Drive measurable program performance gains correlated to execution velocity. Establish governance over prioritization decisions to ensure alignment with key performance indicators.
Lead strategic planning framework for a complex program portfolio including direct influence over resourcing decisions, planning cadence, and planning stakeholders.
Manage a team of ~4 TPMs as the TPM manager for Workspace Search and Workspace Intelligence, and own the program management for a team of ~200 SWEs.
Drive mission-critical success for GenAI programs and ensure the execution of a rich portfolio including AI, 1p/2p/3p programs, and infrastructure projects.
