Manager - Transportation

Overview:

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

​Looking for passionate people to join our Behavioral health facilitiy to be the difference in our patients recorvery journey.

Responsible for managing the execution, direction, and coordination of all transportation matters within the facility.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Manage all aspects of the transportation department including budgets, schedules and staff.

· Ensure that vehicles are kept in proper repair at all times, communicating safety and other concerns timely and clearly to the appropriate staff.

· Develop and implement programs and best practices to maintain safe transportation practices in accordance with regulatory standards.

· Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.

· Coordinate daily and any on-call schedules to meet patient transportation needs.

· Maintain vehicle trip inspection records.

· Hire, orient, train, schedule and supervise transportation staff.

· Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Degree from a vocational school or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Facility Management preferred.

· Three or more years’ experience in similar position with one year experience in building maintenance required.

· One or more years’ supervisory experience preferred.

 

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

· Valid State Driver’s License required.

· CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).

· First aid may be required based on state or facility.
