Location: Jacksonville, FL - Relocation Assistance could be available
Shift: 7am to 3:30pm (Mon-Fri); OT regularly available
Pay: $35-40/hr. (or more, depending on experience level)
Description:
The Manual Machinist will operate, set up, and maintain manual lathes, mills, and related shop equipment to produce and repair metal components to precise specifications.
Qualifications:
Strong manual machining skills, including setup and operation of manual lathes, mills, and related equipment.
Previous experience as a manual machinist in a job shop, repair, or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions, including dimensions and tolerances.
Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges.
Solid understanding of machining principles, materials, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, and surface finishes.
Experience with repair machining, fitting, and fabrication of custom or one-off parts is highly beneficial.
