Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Manual Machinist for a manufacturing opportunity in Wilmington, Delaware. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating manual machine tools and industrial saws, along with a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. This is a hands-on shop position that requires flexibility. When machining work slows down, the individual will assist with assembly and other production duties as needed.
Responsibilities
-Operate manual machine tools to produce parts according to specifications.
-Operate industrial saws to cut materials to the required dimensions.
-Read and interpret shop drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
-Use precision measuring tools to check dimensions and ensure quality.
-Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
-Assist with assembly work during slower periods.
-Support general shop and production activities as needed.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
-Follow established safety procedures and quality standards.
Requirements:
-Previous experience operating manual machine tools - lathes/mills/etc.
-Experience operating industrial saws.
-Ability to read measurements and follow work instructions.
-Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Willingness to assist with assembly and other shop duties when needed.
-Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
