Make every order count at Texas Injection Molding

Picture your day: you open IQ Management to review the order book, walk into the daily production huddle with customer priorities in hand, and then confirm quotes, send acknowledgments, and align delivery dates and terms. Throughout the day, you keep customers informed, translate shop-floor realities into clear updates, and make sure every promise is kept from order entry through shipment.

What you will own

  • Client relationship management for assigned accounts: understand needs, resolve concerns, and safeguard complete satisfaction with Texas Injection Molding services.
  • Customer communications: confirm quotes, issue order acknowledgments, track delivery status, manage terms, and maintain regular correspondence.
  • Order lifecycle control: participate in daily production meetings; shepherd every customer order from entry to shipment; communicate job status and requirements internally and externally.
  • Market and schedule awareness: anticipate shifts that could affect customers; proactively communicate to prevent supply gaps or delays.
  • Clear, non-technical communication: explain status to diverse stakeholders and negotiate delivery dates and pricing when needed.
  • Issue resolution: respond quickly to quality concerns or missed deliveries; coordinate with internal teams and the customer to minimize impact.
  • Purchasing support: assist with buying raw materials, components, and packaging; ensure pricing meets or beats standards and arrivals align with production schedules.

Order administration and documentation

  • Enter sales orders into accounting and manufacturing systems.
  • Maintain orderly records and files.
  • Create packing lists to enable on-time shipments.

Reporting and visibility

  • Establish and report performance metrics for on-time delivery, returns, and customer satisfaction surveys to the Quality Department and management.
  • Provide weekly reports to customers detailing order and inventory status.

Production coordination

  • Partner with Production and Production Planning to schedule runs from work orders and achieve production goals.
  • Assemble complete work-order packets: work order, labels, mold change forms, operator cards, and daily production report forms.
  • Track orders from receipt to shipment, ensuring accuracy and on-time fulfillment.
  • Advise status of work in progress, material availability, and potential constraints so personnel, equipment, materials, and services are in place.
  • Facilitate collaboration with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Engineering.

Tools and workplace

  • Use IQ Management software to enter orders, schedule jobs, and manage the production schedule.
  • Maintain a clean work area and follow safe work practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; 2-year business-related degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing office environment within customer service and/or production planning; inside sales or account management preferred; purchasing experience helpful.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, timely decision-making, and sound judgment.
  • Self-directed, able to drive projects to completion and uphold customer commitments.
  • English/Spanish bilingual ability is beneficial but not required.
