    - Lead and develop machinists, operators, and fabrication technicians, including hiring and training.

    - Establish clear KPIs and output targets for a self-sufficient manufacturing unit.

    - Ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing practices.

    Production Planning & Work Orders

    - Create and maintain production schedules aligned with project needs.

    - Generate and release work orders and routing documentation.

    - Balance machine loading and labor resources to meet commitments.

    - Coordinate material availability with procurement.

    - **Process Development & Operational Excellence**

    - Develop standardized manufacturing processes and SOPs.

    - Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

    - Define utilization targets and cycle-time benchmarks.

    - Prepare for scalable growth with automation.

    Engineering & Quality Interface

    - Act as the primary liaison to Engineering.

    - Provide feedback on new designs and lead resolution of NCRs.

    - Support prototype builds and drive documentation improvements.

    - **Equipment & Technology Management**

    - Oversee operation and maintenance of fabrication equipment.

    - Manage tooling and machine capability development.

    - Plan future equipment investments.

    - **Business Unit Ownership**

    - Develop cost models and labor standards.

    - Track productivity and efficiency metrics.

    - Drive profitability and cost control within operations.

    Required Qualifications

    - Experience managing CNC machining or sheet-metal fabrication.

    - Strong understanding of fabrication processes.

    - Proven ability to manage shop personnel and implement processes.

    - Hands-on, floor-oriented leadership style.

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience with Amada fabrication equipment.

    - Knowledge of lean manufacturing methods.

    - ERP/MRP experience for manufacturing planning.

    - BS in Industrial Engineering or related field (preferred).

Key Success Metrics (First 12–18 Months)

    - Fabrication shop operating as a structured business unit with defined KPIs.

    - Reliable production scheduling and on-time delivery.

    - Reduced NCRs and improved manufacturability feedback.

    - Successful integration of automated systems.

    - Measurable improvements in throughput and efficiency.
