Manufacturing Assembler

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Manufacturing Assembler in McKinney, TX for a one-year, onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This entry-level position involves assembling, reworking, and repairing products according to engineering drawings, specifications, and established quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, willing to learn, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Required Skills

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and written instructions.

• Ability to operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.

• Ability to follow established quality standards and safety procedures.

• Willingness to learn manufacturing assembly processes and techniques.

• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

• Ability to lift, carry, or push up to 10 pounds.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble, rework, and repair products and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

• Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, bills of materials, and written assembly instructions.

• Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment.

• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet established specifications and standards.

• Identify, document, and report product defects.

• Complete assembly modifications and repairs according to engineering specification changes.

• Maintain product inventory at assigned workstations.

• Follow established manufacturing processes, quality requirements, and safety procedures.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Participate in training and regular follow-ups to develop job-specific skills.

Work Schedule / Shift

• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM.

• Training will take place on 2nd shift and is expected to be completed within approximately two months, with weekly follow-ups.

• Position will remain on 2nd shift following training.
