Job Summary The Manufacturing Associate I is primarily responsible for manufacturing Vector''s products according to established procedures and documenting all work in production batch records using established good documentation practices. The Manufacturing Associate I operates and maintains common laboratory equipment as per instructions and works under general supervision on assigned tasks. This position reports to the Production & Quality Con trol Manager . Competencies Identified for Success Technical Foundation Strong knowledge of general laboratory safety and practices, and basic knowledge of modern synthetic organic chemistry, multistep synthesis, and purification technique. Documentation Accuracy Documents all manufacturing steps as they are performed using good documentation practices. Safety & Compliance Works with hazardous materials following specified safety precautions and maintains a clean, orderly, and safe laboratory environment. Responsibilities • Perform multi step synthesis at milligram to multi gram scale • Manufacture reagents and product according to established procedures • Document all manufacturing steps as they are performed using good documentation practices • Perform purification of target compounds using column chromatography, including normal and reversed phase and ion exchange, and automated procedures • Understand and interpret analytical results such as HPLC, UV vis, and TLC • Perform routine reagent preparation for inventory and finished goods • Perform in process testing as required • Maintain production equipment and facilities in clean, good working condition • Work with hazardous materials following specified safety precautions • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe laboratory environment following health and safety guidelines 6737 Mowry Avenue | Newark, CA 94560 | vectorlabs.com • Performs other duties as assigned Job Qualifications • BS or BA degree in Chemistry; an AS/BS degree in a related field will also be considered with relevant laboratory experience preferred • 0 to 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience • Ability to accurately and efficiently follow directions • Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints while maintaining a high level of work quality • Ability to work with chemicals and organic solvent materials • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted Compensation The anticipated hourly range for this position is $ 27.57 - $30.63. The hourly rate offered will depend on multiple factors, including the successful candidate's skills, experience, and other qualifications.
