Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Compounder
Location: Wharton, NJ
Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $25 hour/flex
Hours: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM or 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Responsibilities:
  • Weigh and dispense raw materials according to batch records and formulations
  • Verify material identity, lot numbers, and quantities before use
  • Operate mixing and compounding equipment such as tanks, kettles, and homogenizers
  • Execute manufacturing batches following approved batch records and instructions
  • Accurately document production activities in real time
  • Monitor process parameters such as temperature, mixing speed, and viscosity
  • Perform in-process checks and sampling as required
  • Set up, clean, and maintain compounding equipment per SOPs
  • Follow cGMP requirements, GDP standards, and safety procedures
  • Assist with material reconciliation, inventory accuracy, and product transfers
  • Troubleshoot process issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with QA, QC, and Warehouse teams
  • Support internal, customer, and FDA audits as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing or compounding experience preferred
  • Experience in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or OTC manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Experience in FDA-regulated environments is a plus
  • Basic understanding of cGMP, GDP, and 21 CFR Parts 210 & 211
  • Familiarity with mixing, blending, and processing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and batch records
  • Basic math skills (weights, measures, conversions)
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
