Learn to influence individuals and teams in a safe and efficient manner within the manufacturing environmentSupport the execution of DMAIC methodology on continuous improvement projects within a food manufacturing environment.Collaborate with Operations to identify performance gaps through data analysis and apply continuous improvement tools to develop and implement solutions that drive progress toward defined goals.Apply good leadership techniques to achieve or exceed the expected level of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People related metricsHelp with ideas to improve current processesAttend meetings with Supervisors and Managers to gain understanding of current projects/focusesParticipate in problem solving to overcome production related problems, materials shortages, equipment malfunctions and unavoidable delays where possible to reduce their impact on operationsYour Education and Qualifications.Pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in business, operations, supply chain, engineering, organizational leadership or other related field, having completed sophomore year prior to the start of internship.Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Passion for learning and growing in the manufacturing industrySolid understanding of the fundamentals of manufacturingAbility to multi-task and take initiativeStrength with strategic and analytical thinkingValid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and vehicle required.
