When equipment goes down, you’re the person who knows where to start. Put that skill to work with an established dairy manufacturer.

gpac is partnering with an established dairy manufacturer seeking an Electromechanical Technician for its night-shift maintenance team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys electrical troubleshooting, mechanical repair, and figuring out why equipment isn’t performing the way it should.

Your work will extend beyond a single production line. From manufacturing equipment and electrical circuits to steam systems and hot water boilers, you’ll help keep the facility operating safely and efficiently.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • $35–$45/hour base pay, depending on experience.

  • An additional $3/hour night-shift differential, bringing the hourly rate to $38–$48 while working eligible night-shift hours.

  • Health benefits.

  • Varied work across electrical, mechanical, production, and facility systems.

  • The opportunity to use your troubleshooting skills and work independently while supporting a maintenance team.

  • An established dairy manufacturing environment where reliable equipment directly supports product quality and daily operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot electrical problems: Diagnose and repair electrical circuits, switches, and equipment using schematics and technical documentation.

  • Support PLC troubleshooting: Help identify controls-related equipment issues and determine the appropriate repair.

  • Repair manufacturing equipment: Inspect machinery, diagnose failures, replace worn components, and restore equipment to service.

  • Perform preventive maintenance: Complete routine inspections and service to improve equipment performance and reduce unexpected downtime.

  • Maintain steam and boiler systems: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair components on high- and low-pressure steam vessels and hot water boilers.

  • Install and set up equipment: Assemble machinery and support equipment setup.

  • Respond to production needs: Address repair requests promptly and help employees operate equipment correctly to minimize recurring problems.

  • Maintain accurate records: Document repairs, daily maintenance activities, and required reports.

  • Support facility upkeep: Monitor and record cooler temperatures, address building repairs, and assist with seasonal snow removal.

  • Keep the shop ready: Maintain organized tools, equipment, and parts inventory.

  • Work safely: Identify and correct unsafe conditions while following SOPs, GMPs, and company procedures.

What You’ll Bring

  • An associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology and at least two years of mechanical and electrical repair experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Industrial manufacturing maintenance experience.

  • PLC troubleshooting skills.

  • The ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the judgment to prioritize work independently.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow SOPs and GMPs.

  • A dependable, team-oriented approach with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

  • OSHA 10 General Industry training preferred.
