Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate design concepts and recommend effective manufacturing techniques.
- Participate in tooling design reviews to ensure manufacturing feasibility, reduce assembly time, and control program costs.
- Define and document manufacturing sequences and operations for product builds.
- Investigate nonconforming products, support root cause analysis, and initiate corrective actions and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve product manufacturability, affordability, and production efficiency.
- Provide manufacturing engineering liaison support for integrated assemblies involving electrical, hydraulic, fuel, fluid, and propulsion systems.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Support manufacturing processes and ensure solutions align with engineering specifications, quality standards, and program objectives.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- 0-2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with leadership, customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing and production environment.
- Flexibility to work the first shift, typically 5:00 AM-3:30 PM, or other schedules as required.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods, with occasional standing and movement through manufacturing areas as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledge of CATIA or equivalent CAD/model-based engineering tools.
- Understanding of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.
