Location: Benicia, CA

Compensation: $115,000–$135,000 annually

Schedule: First Shift | Full-Time | Onsite

Our client is a small manufacturing company, positioned for growth, specializing in custom store fixtures and wood products, offering an opportunity for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to help shape production processes and support the company's next stage of growth.

Working directly with the Director of Operations and production teams, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of improvements, solve technical challenges, and make a visible impact on quality, efficiency, safety, and overall operations.

What You'll Do

• Improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and production throughput.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and workmanship standards.
• Troubleshoot production and equipment issues, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Support CNC machinery, woodworking equipment, preventive maintenance, and new equipment installations.
• Improve material flow, packaging standards, and inventory practices.
• Support workplace safety, OSHA compliance, chemical safety, and environmental reporting.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and train production employees on new processes.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical role.
• Experience developing SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Knowledge of workplace safety and environmental compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Excellent communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach.

Preferred: Experience in woodworking, millwork, cabinetry, or store fixture manufacturing; Lean manufacturing tools; OSHA 10/30 certification; CAD software; or a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

Work Environment: Onsite in a wood products manufacturing facility, with regular production-floor presence and exposure to typical manufacturing noise, dust, and chemicals. PPE is provided and required.
