Manufacturing Engineer Electro-Mechanical Assemblies (Onsite Ocala, FL)

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Electro-Mechanical Assemblies for a global aerospace company. In this role, you will develop and optimize manufacturing processes for electro-mechanical assemblies by driving root cause analysis and corrective actions, managing PR/MRB processes, and improving production quality, efficiency, and work instructions.

This is a 12-month contract (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week (4-day 10-hour shifts per week) job, an On-site role based out in Ocala, FL.

This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities

• Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.
• Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.
• Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence.
• Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence.
• Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
• Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  

Requirements:

• Must be an US Citizen
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience driving robust Corrective Actions Root Cause and Corrective Action
• Must have at least 5 years of experience with electo-mechanical assemblies
• Must have at least 3 years of experience with PR/MRB process (PR/QMRB certification preferred)

Desired Skills

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Experience with PR/MRB process (PR/QMRB certification preferred)
• Understands lean manufacturing and quality optimization in a production environment
• Experience with SAP, Apriso, and Windchill
• Excellent process development and documentation skills. (MS Office)
• Experienced with visual based work instructions (creating and providing feedback)
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Circuit card manufacturing experience
• Cable and Harness Manufacturing experience
