Job Summary
Hands-on Manufacturing Engineer supporting 3rd shift fabrication operations. The role focuses on production support, troubleshooting, manufacturing process improvement, process documentation, and implementation of new and existing processes.
The engineer will work with operators, maintenance teams, salaried staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain uptime, productivity, quality, and cost performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Support 3rd shift production operations to maintain uptime and productivity.
· Assist operators, maintenance teams, and salaried staff with production issues.
· Troubleshoot MES (Manufacturing Execution System) issues.
· Troubleshoot and support automated and manual welding processes.
· Support robotic welding systems and manufacturing equipment.
· Train operators on manufacturing processes and equipment.
· Analyze and improve manufacturing methods, processes, equipment, and systems.
· Support engineering solutions and feasibility testing.
· Assist with process validation and implementation of engineering solutions.
· Develop and maintain process documentation, standards, and specifications.
· Conduct inspections and help ensure compliance with engineering and regulatory requirements.
· Coordinate activities with subcontractors and suppliers.
· Identify process, system, and procedure gaps and support corrective improvements.
· Support implementation and execution of new and existing manufacturing processes.
· Participate in process improvement and project-related activities.
· Work within established project plans and schedules to achieve project goals.
· Analyze customer needs and support product development and engineering activities.
· Assist with technical reporting, risk management, costing, and budgeting activities.
· Stay current with relevant technology, regulations, and manufacturing best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level of education/experience.
· Experience with manual welding systems.
· Experience with robotic welding systems.
· Fanuc robotics welding experience preferred.
· Strong troubleshooting skills for automated and manual manufacturing processes.
· Knowledge of manufacturing engineering and engineering design.
· Ability to analyze requirements and develop engineering specifications.
· Understanding of engineering testing, implementation, and technical operations support.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
· Comfortable working in ambiguous or changing situations.
· Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
· Strong documentation and reporting skills.
· Ability to follow up on work tickets, action items, and team communications.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Ideal Candidate
A hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys supporting production in a fast-paced environment, has welding automation experience—preferably Fanuc robotics—and can quickly troubleshoot production issues during off-shift operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable taking ownership of production support activities with minimal supervision.
