Job Description
The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have the following:
- Develop and optimise CNC machining programs using CAM software
- Create and modify 3D models, tooling concepts, and fixture designs
- Verify machining programmes through simulation and validation tools
- Lead quotation activities, including RFQ review, costing, and proposal preparation
- Analyse manufacturing costs and support competitive pricing strategies
- Track quotation outcomes and identify trends to improve win rates
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct workflow studies, process analysis, and efficiency improvement projects
- Support production teams with technical troubleshooting and manufacturing solutions
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace standards
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to deliver customer requirements
The Successful Applicant
The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have the following:
- Associate degree, technical qualification, or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC machining and CNC programming
- Hands-on experience with CAM software such as Mastercam or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and fixture design
- Experience preparing quotations, cost analysis, or production planning activities
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience within precision manufacturing environments is highly desirable
